Using Microsoft 365 on a Chromebook

Microsoft 365 on Chromebooks is only available via the web apps within your EFSC email account. As of November 1st, 2021, Microsoft 365 apps for Android are no longer supported on Chromebooks and are removed from the app stores. Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook cannot be installed through the student email using the same method seen on other operating systems. The standard desktop applications that can be used on Windows and Mac are not available on Chromebooks.

For more information, check out the How to access Microsoft Office on a Chromebook article from Microsoft Support.

Access on a Chromebook

Microsoft Access is generally not available to use on Chromebook devices. Overall, Microsoft Access is only available on devices that have a Windows operating system, emulate one, or can use remote access to a Windows machine. In cases where students need to use Access, it is recommended to contact the instructor of the course to find out how assignments should be completed and what options are available.
