How to Reset the Oracle Password

Oracle passwords (previously used for Banner 8) apply to programs such as BossCars, NolijWeb, and Access. Expired passwords can lead to errors running applications in which resetting the Oracle password is a great first step in the process of resolving the errors.

If you recall your previous Oracle password, proceed to the steps below.

If you have forgotten or are unsure of the password, please either create a ticket or call the IT Support Desk at 321-433-7600, open 7am to midnight, 7 days a week. The Support Desk will provide a temporary password and then you may proceed with the steps below. Please notify the Support Desk either by creating a ticket or calling 321-433-7600 if the steps below are not working.

1. Login to Banner 9 (blue icon on the Desktop – banner9prod) with your staff/employee credentials.

2. In the search bar under the Welcome banner, type in GUAPSWD to bring up the Oracle Password Change form. Click the result to open the form.

3. For the Oracle Password field on the left, enter your current/old password or the temporary password provided by the Support Desk.

4. In the next two fields on the right, enter in a password that you want to use. The oracle password must be at least 10 characters long and contain at least one capital letter. Numbers are also accepted here. Please note that some special characters may not be allowed within a password. Special characters are not required for the password.

5. Once all fields are filled out, click the SAVE button directly below the two fields you had just typed in your new password. At this point, you may be directed back to the Welcome banner screen seen in step 2.

6. Return to the application you are logging in to and use your new password to gain access.
