Printing to a Local Printer in Remote Desktop

If you are using remote desktop and have local printers connected to your client computer (the computer at which you are sitting in front of) - you can utilize your local printers for your remote session.

First, open Remote Desktop Connection and select "Show Options" at the bottom left of the window

Second, click on the "Local Resources" tab

Third, check the box for "Printers" near the bottom of the window

After Connecting, when you go to print you should now see your local printer on your remote computer. The name will be followed by (Redirected) inditicating that it is being redirected from your local computer. You may have to restart the application for these new printers to become avilable. An example is shown below:
